This debate is ever growing. Will Liverpool FC make it into the Top Four? After a dreadful season last year, resulting in the loss of favoured Spanish striker, Fernando Torres, the club needs to qualify for the Champions League. Competing against the country’s most fine-tuned teams, is it possible for them to balance the GD and grab them some more points?
Currently, in a respectful fifth position in the Premier League Table, they hold on to a mere 10 points in six matches. The club looks appealing right about now, Gerrard has finally recovered from his groin injury from July. The Reds Captain has been sincerely missed and needed, however when asked of his permanent return, Kenny Dalglish replied “Everyone who is asked to play will be fit enough to play.” Taking the more practical approach will hopefully allow a better chance for the team in the matches to come.
With the most exciting of matches lingering, only sixteen days away, Scousers are praying for a prolonged appearance on the pitch from Gerrard. Although Suarez has scored four goals since August and ‘Carra’ Carragher has been the top used player in the squad.
For now, we wait for the Liverpool v United. In the past, the Reds have managed to keep hold of their victorious history at Anfield. 3-1. 4-1. 5-1. Maybe it’s too optimistic to hope for a 6-1 this time.
